Overview of the FIS rules of conduct:
- Consideration for others
Behave in such a way that no one is endangered or injured. - Control of speed
Adapt your speed and manner of skiing to your ability, as well as to the terrain, snow and weather conditions – and pay attention to the traffic density. - Choice of route when overtaking
Skiers or snowboarders approaching from behind must choose their line in such a way that they do not endanger those ahead. - Overtaking with sufficient distance
You may overtake from above, below, right or left – but always with enough distance. - Entering and starting
When entering a slope, starting again after stopping or moving uphill, make sure that you do not endanger others – always look up and down the slope. - Stopping on the slopes
Avoid stopping on narrow or blind spots. In the event of a fall, clear the spot as quickly as possible. - Climbing and descending on foot
Those on foot – climbing or descending – must keep to the side of the slope. - Respect for signs and markings
