Intro
Sporty ascent, mainly off-piste. This ascent is really demanding and requires a good level of fitness as it boasts 1,200 vertical metres and a length of more than 8 kilometres.
Tour description
How about extending „Route 1 Frommes”? As you start in Ladis, the tour is one kilometer longer and boasts 200 vertical metres more.The start is next to the bottom station of the Sonnenbahn cable car. Follow piste no. 1 parallel to the route of the Sonnenbahn for about 30 minutes. Then, the slope leads you right on “Route 1 – Frommes” (next to Kindervilla). At the next junction, head right on the Schöngampalm cross-country route (L10). After around 30 minutes (just before piste 8), the route branches off to the left into the forest. After reaching piste no 7 and 8, continue to Frommes-Alp restaurant (refreshment stop). From there, follow the signposted route until you reach again piste no. 7 at 1,880 m. Then ascend along the right edge of the slope as far as you reach the ridge at 2,300 m. After a short section where you have to cross the piste, you get directly to the ridge with beautiful views. Keep walking for about 20 minutes to reach your final destination.
