Intro

The Alpenrosensteig path (Rhododendron) is an old route between the Schöngampalm and the Frommes. It leads in the upper parts along unspoilt mountain slopes with superb pine and rhododendron groups (blossom time: end of June until mid July).

Tour description

The Alpenrosensteig path is also hiked quite often from the Fisser Joch (F087) in combination with the Naggalunsteig path as a connection to the Frommes (walking time Fisser Joch – Frommes to trail no. 5: 2 hours). On the Naggalunsteig path no. 25 (F044), in 1 hour down to the top of the forest, where you cross the Alpenrosensteig path (F043). Here turn right, on a flat trail on to the Naggalunboden and then ascend again to the Frommes (F073). Descent to Fiss as described on trail no. 5 (5 hours to Fiss).
