In the hiding place of the marmots
Between the rocks and meadows lives a small world full of lively ‘monkeys’ that roll along the path like fluffy balls. Only the guardian sits enthroned and sends his warning calls through the mountains. Discover their mysterious world and find out more about their exciting lives.
Tour description
From the mountain station of the Lazidbahn (S301), the path first follows the wide carriageway to Scheid (S217). From WW (S218) behind the lift station, the path leads to the Marmot Trail 25a, over the Kitzköpfl to the Furglersee (S211). From the Furglersee, follow the long-distance hiking trail 702 (Trail 21), crossing the Malfrist meadows to Komperdell (Kölner Haus).
